Classes are available for ages 12 and up.

Cost

The staff of Pocahontas County Parks and Recreation generously provides us a great space to train, as well use of some storage and equipment. We ask students to pay the Rec Center $3/class. This fee goes directly to the Rec Center for maintenance and upkeep of the facility.

If costs are ever a concern, please speak to the instructor.

Uniforms and Equipment

Students do not need any special clothing or equipment in order to train; simply show up in loose-fitting attire suitable for working out. Refrain from wearing jewelry in class, as this often creates potential safety concerns. Fitness trackers are permitted, provided they are snug and do not create issues — but be aware that wearing them does create the possibility of damage!

If you decide to become a regular part of class, we recommend a dedicated uniform. Most students opt to purchase their own sparring gear as well, although the class does have some hand and foot pads available for anyone that needs it.
