Students of Taekwon-Do learn various blocking and striking techniques, which become the basis of self-defense. These skills are refined by training in patterns, step sparring, free sparring, board breaking, and other drills.
In addition, we study falling, throws, releases, pressure points, and similar techniques -- these are known collectively as hosinsul.
In order for all of these skills to be most effective, we also improve our overall physical fitness with a variety of strength, flexibility, and endurance training.
